Overview

Check out our 2-day desert adventure that travels through the Middle Atlas from Fez to Merzouga through Ifrane and Azrou. Visit the Sahara, go on camel riding, and spend the night in a Berber tent, with a typical Moroccan meal under the stars. You’ll learn about the mystique of the Sahara Desert and its Berber regions, which are the best parts of Morocco.

What to Expect

Day 1 : Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Gorges – Merzouga Camp and camel trekking

Your trip begins early in the morning with a pick-up from your riad or hotel by our experienced driver who will take you on a journey to the Sahara desert. But the voyage begins with a stop at Ifrane, a little village with Alpine-style architecture that gives her the name of “Morocco’s Switzerland.” We travel through this unusual environment until we reach Azrou’s cedar forest, where we meet and feed the Barbary apes. Before moving on, we will stop for lunch at Midelt, a picturesque village known for its luscious apples. You will be able to enjoy the stunning Ziz Gorges along the way with its scenic valley of palm trees, mountains, and historic Kasbah, Next, we will pass by Arfoud, a village that is very known for the production of fossils. When we get to Merzouga in the evening, You will store your luggage at the hotel and enjoy camel trekking for 45 min to the Berber desert camp where you have dinner and you spend the night

Day 2: Transfer from Merzouga to Marrakech

In the early morning, we’ll wake you up and take you on a walk through the high dunes to see the sunrise. After that, you’ll ride your camel back to the hotel through the high dunes for breakfast and a shower, and then we’ll embark on our journey back to Marrakech through  Kelaat Mgouna, Dades valley, sakura, and Ouarzazate. lunch at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Continue your Sahara trip crossing High Atlas Mountains, Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260 min altitude) while enjoying superb views and Berber Villages. Finally, upon arrival to red city Marrakech, transfer to your accommodation.
