Overview:

Discover one of the treasures of the Atlantic coastline by traveling to Essaouira for a day from Marrakech. Essaouira, also known as Mogador, is well known for its vibrant bazaars, fishing harbor, and fortified Medina. Essaouira is a highly well-liked day vacation destination because of its hippy vibe, cool climate all year round, and short travel of 2 hours and 30 minutes from Marrakech. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to visit the women’s cooperatives and observe them as they make the pure argan oil.

What to Expect

In the morning our driver will pick you up from your accommodation to drive towards Mogador “Essaouira”. Before continuing to Essaouira, pause to snap a few pictures and observe how the local women extract argan oil. We will continue on to Essaouira from here, Upon arrival begin leisurely exploring the city and its attractions.

Essaouira is formerly known as Modgador and during this tour you will see the rampart walls which are an ancient portuguese fortification, where you will see medieval war cannons. You will also stroll in the old medina where you will find La Scala, various art shops and many beautiful crafts like thuya woods. Also visit Moulay El Hassan square, the jewish quarter . Today’s lunch must be fresh fish at the market because this is what the city is famous for.

After lunch you can take a stroll at the beach and watch the surfers play their favourite activity or locals playing soccer. In the late afternoon, our tour will come to an end after our driver will drop you off at your accommodation.
